For dough

  • 2 1/2 tea cup flour for all uses

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon dry yeast

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 3/4 tea cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon margarine at room temperature

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • For stuffing

  • 1/2 tea cup grated hazelnut

  • 3-4 tablespoons merenda


In a large bowl, put the flour, egg, yeast, sugar, margarine, salt and add a little milk by kneading until we get a dough that does not stick to the hands

Cover it and leave it in a warm place to inflate 1-1 1/2 hour

On a floured surface we open an elongated leaf, spread on one side merenda and sprinkle with hazelnut and on the other side cut strips

Roll carefully on a roll and finally place one by one strip on top of the roll. Allow to rise for another 30 minutes, smear with egg and bake in preheated oven to 180 degrees until browning (about 30 minutes).
